Michael Harmon Thrash, age 59, passed away peacefully in his home early Wednesday, Aug. 3. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Gladney Harmon and Iris Ellen Thrash. He is survived by his wife Kelly Nichols Thrash; daughters, Barbara Kiewel, Anita Day, Bessy Williams, and Kristin Sloan; his grandchildren, Tyler Day, Carson Thrash, Logan Day, Lilyth Kiewel, Samuel Sloan and Michael Williams; brother Norman Thrash; and sister Patti Smith; as well as a host of family and friends. Mike dedicated his life to serve and protect as an officer and chief of police in Warrior. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who treasured his family as his most prized possession. Mike was a strong man of faith and has now made his journey home to be with the Lord in Heaven. Memorial Service will be held at Chandler Springs Baptist Church on Sunday Aug. 7 at 2pm.
