James a/k/a Jimmy's Story

Jim was finally called to Heaven, by our God, on January 6, 2018. After suffering many years with LBD (Lewy Body Dementia), on January 6, 2018. He was born in Birmingham, AL, to his parents H L McGee and Emogene McGill McGee, who preceded him in death. Jim graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in 1966 and after several years of miscellaneous jobs he joined the US Air Force. He loved being able to travel the world, while protecting our country. He was a very proud member of the McCarty-Farrar Masonic Lodge # 8 in Mount Olive, AL. Jim is survived by his wife, Bonnie Rentz McGee, his sister, Connie McGee Whaley, her spouse, Gerald McGee, his niece, Brandi Whaley Beard, his great-niece Abigale Beard, niece, Tenley Whaley Matthews, great-nephew Ezra Matthews, step daughter, Amy Gwaltney Parsons, his step-granddaughters, Alina Bouch, Camille Parsons, Maya Parsons and Chloe Parsons.

We are having a Celebration Of Life for Jim and are asking people to bring a covered dish and possibly get up and speak and tell your stories about him. ADDRESS and TIME follows.
