Eula Yvonne (Moon) Graham Shepherd, age 82, passed away at her residence Saturday, August 31, 2019. She was surrounded by her loving children, Myra Cupp (Doug), Elton Graham Jr. (Nancy), Charlotte Turner (Kenneth Sr.), and Cynthia Hulgan (Donald). She was preceded in death by her parents, Cordis and Eula Moon, and her first husband of 45 years, Elton Graham Sr. and her second husband of 17 years, James M. Shepherd. Also four of her grandchildren, Elton Dean and Nathan Lee Graham, Anthony Turner, and Richard Burgett. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Sandra Cotton (John), Richard M. Cupp, Kenneth Turner Jr. (Jessica), Samantha Walkowski (Brandon), Christopher Bond (Leah), Steven Bond (Gosia), Andrea Butterfield (Gabriel).
Yvonne was a member of Republic Baptist Church and attended Kimberly First Baptist Church later in life. She was most noted for her nearly 25 years as a mail carrier for the USPS. Her grandchildren knew her as Mimmaw and the "Pudding Fairy". She was also known for her Christian values, sense of humor, practical jokes, servant's heart, and her love for coffee and humming birds and frequent trips to the Cracker Barrel.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. A funeral service will be at 3:00pm and burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Brother Guy Moore is to officiate.
The family of Yvonne greatly appreciates the service of Bragan Nelms, RN; and would like to send a special thank you to Ruth Bond for loving our mother so well and being a true servant of Our Lord. Love Myra, Junior, Cynthia and Charlotte.
