Doris Moody Justice, 85, of Warrior, passed from earthly to heavenly life at her residence on Feb. 8, 2014. Mrs. Justice was a life-long member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a retired dental hygienist having worked in Gardendale for many years. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Arthur M. Justice; her parents, O. Ray and Edna Moody; and great-grandson Benjamin Culpepper. Survivors include her four children, Marilyn (Lewe) Sessions, Birmingham, Kenneth (Lynn) Justice, Greensboro, Denise (Steve) Tingle, Ringgold, Ga., and James (Cindy) Justice of Dora; nine grand-children, Patrick and Perry Sessions, Craig, Samuel (Laura) and Kaitlyn Justice, Amy Tingle (Mathon) Culpepper, Alana Tingle (Dean) McKinney, Kelly Justice (Chris) South and Kimberly Justice; seven great-grand children, Gage, Maddie, Kennedy, Thomas, Aubrie, Matthew and Blaine; three sisters, Jimmie Brymer, Ann Rice and Juanita (George) Snow, one brother, Davie Ray (Frances) Moody, a special niece Rita Justice (Gary) Campbell and great-nephew Robert (Jana) Campbell and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Barbara Best and the nurses of Vitas Innovative Hospice Care. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 10, between 5 and 8 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
